About me:
I'm the owner and lead guide for Birding the Islands Ltd - a locally owned and operated company which specialises in offering, organising and leading birding trips in the Lesser Antilles. I am the author of the recently published Birds of the Lesser Antilles HELM Field Guide.
I was born and live on Barbados and have been leading birding tours throughout the Caribbean for 25 years. I lead day trips on Barbados, as well as multi-island birding tours of the wider Lesser Antillean region, in which my clients and I target the endemics of this magical island chain.
Before starting the company Birding the Islands Ltd, I combined leading birding excursions with a full-time career in conservation. During this period I was employed as Chief Naturalist and Eco-guide Manager at Graeme Hall Nature Reserve in Barbados; Environmental Consultant for PAA Management Ltd, Barbados; Field Researcher with Global Vision International in the Ecuadorian Amazon; Development Officer with the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) at one of it's flagship reserves in the UK; and National Parks Officer with North York Moors National Park in North Yorkshire, UK.
